Now in its 17th year, the Oklahoma Supercomputing Symposium is the oldest annual event of its kind in an EPSCoR jurisdiction.

Attendance in 2017 was 295:

• 83 (28%) from OU, 212 (72%) non-OU (or unstated)
• 197 (67%) academic, 98 (33%) non-academic (or unstated)
  • 23 academic institutions in 9 states
  • 22 commercial firms
  • 7 government agencies (federal and state)
  • 4 non-governmental organizations
• 191 (65%) Oklahoman, 104 (35%) non-Oklahoman (or unstated)
• 215 (73%) from EPSCoR jurisdictions, 80 (27%) not from EPSCoR jurisdictions (or unstated)

The 16 Symposia to date have had aggregate attendance over 4000, from:

• 122 academic institutions from 28 US states and territories plus 1 other country
  including
  67 academic institutions from 12 EPSCoR jurisdictions (among them 35 in OK)
• 165 private companies
• 35 government agencies (federal, state, municipal, foreign)
• 21 non-governmental organizations
