Now in its 21st year, the Oklahoma Supercomputing Symposium is the oldest annual event of its kind in an EPSCoR jurisdiction.

Attendance in 2021 was 350:

  • 50 (14%) from OU, 300 (86%) non-OU (or unstated)
  • 279 (80%) academic, 71 (20%) non-academic (or unstated)
    • 130 academic institutions in 42 US states & territories and 4 other countries
    • 19 commercial firms
    • 15 government agencies (federal, state, non-US)
    • 13 non-governmental organizations
  • 131 (37%) Oklahoman, 219 (73%) non-Oklahoman (or unstated)
  • 176 (50%) from EPSCoR jurisdictions, 174 (50%) not from EPSCoR jurisdictions (or unstated)

The 20 Symposia to date have had aggregate attendance over 5000, from:

  • 319 academic institutions from 47 US states and 4 US territories plus 10 other countries
    including
    114 academic institutions from 25 EPSCoR jurisdictions (among them X institutions in Oklahoma)
  • 206 private companies
  • 51 government agencies (federal, state, municipal, non-US)
  • 35 non-governmental/non-profit organizations
