Now in its 19th year, the Oklahoma Supercomputing Symposium is the oldest annual event of its kind in an EPSCoR jurisdiction.

Attendance in 2019 was 175:

  • 69 (39%) from OU, 106 (61%) non-OU (or unstated)
  • 127 (73%) academic, 48 (27%) non-academic (or unstated)
    • 17 academic institutions in 5 states
    • 11 commercial firms
    • 8 government agencies (federal and state)
    • 3 non-governmental organizations
  • 140 (80%) Oklahoman, 35 (20%) non-Oklahoman (or unstated)
  • 148 (85%) from EPSCoR jurisdictions, 27 (15%) not from EPSCoR jurisdictions (or unstated)

The 18 Symposia to date have had aggregate attendance over 4500, from:

  • 127 academic institutions from 28 US states and territories plus 3 other countries
  • 178 private companies
  • 36 government agencies (federal, state, municipal, foreign)
  • 21 non-governmental organizations
