Now in its 18th year, the Oklahoma Supercomputing Symposium is the oldest annual event of its kind in an EPSCoR jurisdiction.

Attendance in 2018 was 246:

• 81 (33%) from OU, 165 (67%) non-OU (or unstated)
• 168 (68%) academic, 78 (33%) non-academic (or unstated)
  • 20 academic institutions in 7 states and 2 other countries
  • 19 commercial firms
  • 7 government agencies (federal and state)
  • 4 non-governmental organizations
• 191 (78%) Oklahoman, 55 (22%) non-Oklahoman (or unstated)
• 197 (80%) from EPSCoR jurisdictions, 49 (20%) not from EPSCoR jurisdictions (or unstated)

The 17 Symposia to date have had aggregate attendance over 4000, from:

• 126 academic institutions from 28 US states and territories plus 3 other countries
  including
  65 academic institutions from 12 EPSCoR jurisdictions (among them 35 in OK)
• 174 private companies
• 35 government agencies (federal, state, municipal, foreign)
• 21 non-governmental organizations
