Now in its 16th year, the Oklahoma Supercomputing Symposium is the oldest annual event of its kind in an EPSCoR jurisdiction.

Attendance in 2016 was 341:

  • 118 (35%) from OU, 223 (65%) non-OU (or unstated)
  • 240 (70%) academic, 101 (30%) non-academic (or unstated)
    • 26 academic institutions in 10 states
    • 26 commercial firms
    • 6 government agencies (federal and state)
    • 5 non-governmental organizations
  • 229 (67%) Oklahoman, 112 (33%) non-Oklahoman (or unstated)
  • 253 (74%) from EPSCoR jurisdictions, 88 (26%) not from EPSCoR jurisdictions (or unstated)

The 15 Symposia to date have had aggregate attendance over 4000, from:

  • 119 academic institutions from 27 US states and territories plus 1 other country
    including
    64 academic institutions from 12 EPSCoR jurisdictions
  • 155 private companies
  • 35 government agencies (federal, state, municipal, foreign)
  • 21 non-governmental organizations
